The all new GSO-4.7 is about to begin production and is expected to deliver in November-December.
Completely redesigned! This is a full sized knife in a very purposeful, compact package. The 4 3/4" blade features a strong spear point that makes it well suited for a wide variety of tasks. The aggressively contoured handle provides a secure grip in any condition. With a .170" blade thickness this knife is robust enough to tackle even the most demanding cutting chores with confidence. This latest revision features refined handle contouring and a more sleek profile to reduce bulk.
Our high quality Torx T-25 style fasteners are produced using high quality stainless steel. Key features of the kydex sheaths include: excellent retention, drain channels, and several attachment options with slots and eyelets, in addition to the kydex clip. The peened finish on the blade provides extra durability and is non-reflective. The spine is sharp enough for use with most ferro rods.
- You are not required to purchase a kydex sheath with your order but it is HIGHLY recommended that you do so.
- We do not have a set delivery date for preordered knives, be sure to sign up for our newsletter to receive regular production updates.
A bit about the steel used in SURVIVE! Knives:
CPM-3V is a high alloyed tool steel, made using the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, that has a very high impact toughness and excellent edge holding. Being made with the CPM process, this steel is also very resistant to lateral stress (flex) breakage, making it a perfect choice for a high performance, hard use knife. CPM-3V is not a stainless alloy and can stain if not cared for. Check out the CPM-3V Data Sheet
CruForge V is a high performance carbon steel option. This steel is very tough and the small amounts of chromium and vanadium in the alloy result in increased edge holding. This steel is susceptible to rust and corrosion, which is why we offer these blades with a Cerakote finish. Check out the CruForge V data sheet.
I got my gso 4.7 a couple of weeks ago it was a factory 2nd I bought it not for the 20 bucks I would save but because I wanted one and I didn't want to wait forever to receive one. Let me start off by saying that if it took a year it would have been ok with me. I own several fixed blade knives (mostly high end ) and I still can't get over the look and feel of this knife ! As for the (factory 2nd) ... lol ,there was a small dot the size of a pin head on the side of the blade and that was it I couldn't believe it . I just told my girlfriend that once I get the 3.5 I will never buy another knife and I hate to even say those words but this time I mean it ! Thanks Survive! For the time and care that you put into my knife I will use it forever and gladly pass it down to my son when I have no more use for it .
