Meet the SURVIVE! Pikal. Our iteration of this reverse grip knife features excellent ergonomics, a compact yet highly functional design, and premium materials. Wanting to set our Pikal apart from the crowd as well as stay true to our roots, we really put an emphasis on in hand retention and stabbing/ripping cutting performance for this very purpose driven design. The attractive radius machined spine provides additional security, giving you better axial control over the knife, while being subtle enough to not create hot spots. The pommel is slightly but unobtrusively exposed and features jimping, for positive indexing in fast moving situations. Whether you conceal carry and want a lightweight back up option that won't jam or you just value being prepared for any eventuality, look no further. You'll find our Pikal to be devastatingly effective, no matter what situation you find yourself in. Our Pikal has a fully sharpenable swedge and comes complete with a sheath optimized for IWB carry.
"Special thanks to Ryan and Jerry, for putting up with all my questions while I was designing this knife. Your professional experience and insight were invaluable. You guys know who you are." -Guy
Production and Delivery Information:
Preordering will be extremely limited at 100 units and each first production knife will be individually numbered.
The Pikal is starting production soon. For the most up to date information check our Production Schedule page.
For the first time ever we have complete control over the production process and everything is working toward a common goal. Even though we are still getting caught up, new orders will not take nearly as long as previous preorders have.
A bit about the steel used in SURVIVE! Knives:
CPM-3V is a high alloyed tool steel, made using the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, that has a very high impact toughness and excellent edge holding. Being made with the CPM process, this steel is also very resistant to lateral stress (flex) breakage, making it a perfect choice for a high performance, hard use knife. CPM-3V is not a stainless alloy and can stain if not cared for. Check out the CPM-3V Data Sheet.
CPM-154 is a high carbon stainless steel. This grade features good toughness, corrosion resistance and edge holding. Being a vanadium free steel, CPM-154 is easy to resharpen in the field and takes a very keen edge. Check out the CPM-154 Data Sheet.
We do not have a set delivery date for preordered knives, be sure to sign up for our newsletter to receive regular production updates.
