SURVIVE! Starter

The SURVIVE! Starter campaign has ended and the knives have started production.  Please be sure to sign up for the SURVIVE! newsletter to receive regular production updates.

After the GSO-5.1 sold out in record time we received a lot of messages from customers.  Most of them were incredibly frustrated.  Well we want you to know that we are frustrated too.  SURVIVE! is currently a young company struggling to keep up with demand.  We need to grow so we can get rid of the "out of stock" phrase that is plaguing our website.  In order to do so we need working capital to invest in larger production runs and equipment to give us more control over the quality of each finished product.  We are ready to do the work but we could really use your help.

The SURVIVE! Starter is designed as a crowd funding source to help us grow our production capabilities.  With your investment we will be able to increase the size and frequency of our production runs, meaning we will have more models in stock for longer periods of time.  Our goal is to end the "Out of Stock" notices completely.  We will also use the investment funds to buy some much needed finishing equipment.  This will give us the opportunity to have more oversight at the end of every production run, decreasing the amount of Factory 2nds and increasing the overall fit and finish.  With your help we will be able to make a better knife, much faster.

But it isn't only about us.  We know a lot of you would be happy with just being able to reserve your spot in the production line.  But we want to make it worth your patience, so we have come up with some ways to pay you back for your generosity.  Read more about both investment options for full reward details!

There are two ways you can take part in this investment opportunity: Buy a Knife or Buy Store Credit.

Similar to a preorder, this will give you the opportunity to order the knife you've been wanting before the production run begins.  Every knife you order will essentially be a vote for that model, letting us know how many knives to produce and which models should be done first.

Unfortunately, we do have to impose some terms and conditions so we can maintain a bit of sanity in the SURVIVE! workshop.

  • All sales are final.  No exchanges for another model.  No changing handle/sheath/etc selections.
  • There is no guaranteed delivery date.  Do not order this as a gift or for a trip, because you may not receive it in time.  Do be sure you are signed up for our newsletter as we will continue to send out our 1st Friday Production Updates.  We also post to social media regularly.  Seriously, we do not have dedicated email staff so every email asking when an order will be completed takes us away from filling orders.
  

This is the choice to make if you aren't sure exactly what model or options you want right now but you know a SURVIVE! Knife is in your future.  You can purchase store credit now and worry about the tough decisions later.

Instead of a discount, we will be adding a percentage of your investment to your store credit balance. For example, when you invest $500 you will actually be getting $525.

  • Investments between $50-$950 will receive an extra 5%
  • If you invest $1,000-$2,450 we will add an additional 10% to your store credit balance
  • Any investments totalling $2,500 or more earn a 15% bonus to their store credit balance
  • If you are considering an investment of $5,000 or more please contact us so we can discuss additional options and benefits

Remember, if you do not have a customer account with us we will not have anywhere to apply the store credit.  It is very important that you checkout with a customer account!

This is designed to be an investment, so double dipping would be counter productive.  To avoid any temptation, we will begin entering your store credits on May 1st.  Please note that this is not an automatic feature and we do not own a robot.  We will be entering your store credit manually, so it may take a few days to enter all orders.  Thank you for your patience.
